Appointed Administrators by a secured creditor to a group of two Companies trading as a well-known home soda maker and sparkling water machine retailer with a significant online business and established customer base. Stefanie conducted an urgent viability assessment and subsequently oversaw trading of the business for three months whilst concurrently restructuring and conducting the sales campaign, which culminated in the successful sale of the business and assets.
Appointed Administrators to an engineering and construction business that specialised in the construction of bridges for major roadwork projects, including the Westgate Tunnel Project. During the Administration, Stefanie was key in negotiating and liaising with the head contractor and key suppliers, assessed, and provided recommendations in relation to two competing Deed of Company Arrangements that were proposed in light of the purpose of the Administration process and ultimately achieved a successful return to unsecured creditors of ten cents in the dollar.
Engaged to undertake an independent financial and operational review of a rapidly expanding group which operated in the gym and fitness industry including to recapitalise and consolidate debt of $30 million. The engagement included stabilisation assessment, implementation of a cashflow forecast model, restructuring strategies, optimisation of business operations and strategies for future planning.
Managed the receivership appointment of three Companies, which owned aircraft, including helicopters and spare parts worth c. $50 million, and trading a business providing flight training and tourist helicopter flights. The secured creditor/appointor was owed c. $11 million. During the receivership, Stefanie facilitated meetings with key stakeholders, including government bodies and international parties. Stefanie managed the asset realisation process, which included implementing stock takes, investigations, collation, and information reconciliation.
Successfully utilised the small business restructuring process to restructure a registered NDIS provider, which specialised in providing accommodation and community access support to adults with disabilities. Stefanie prepared and assessed budgets and forecasts with the Company and external accountant, as well as implementing operational, procedural, and structural changes to the company to improve its trading position and return the Company to a position of solvency. The Restructuring Plan resulted in a return to unsecured creditors of twenty cents in the dollar.
