Cor Cordis appointed Voluntary Administrators of Langdon Building Pty Ltd

Sam Kaso and Shaun Matthews of restructuring advisory firm Cor Cordis have been appointed Voluntary Administrators of Langdon Building Pty Ltd on Monday 29 January 2024.

Langdon Building Pty Ltd was established over 20 years ago and has been building homes across Melbourne’s West & North, including Geelong, Bendigo, and Ballarat. Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 and continued challenging economic conditions, Langdon Building has today decided to appoint voluntary administrators to help restructure the business and transition the business into a stronger financial position.

The owners of Langdon Building Pty Ltd said, “We made the difficult decision to appoint voluntary administrators, to ensure the business can move forward so we can get back on-site and finish customers’ homes with confidence and return to pre-pandemic strength”.

Through the voluntary administration process, Cor Cordis will pause construction works whilst they urgently assess the business operations and explore all options to restructure or recapitalise the businesses, including through a deed of company arrangement or a sale of the business.

The Administrators stated “We’ve commenced an urgent review of Langdon Building’s financial position and have held preliminary discussions with parties to develop a proposal to restructure the business. We’ve set up an email address for customers, employees, and creditors. We will be providing regular updates to all stakeholders as we work through the voluntary administration process”.
