We invite recent graduates to join our 12-month graduate development program.

The program encompasses comprehensive support, including mentorship, a blend of structured and informal learning opportunities, external training, and ongoing performance evaluations. During your time with us, you could be involved in a range of impactful roles, such as:

+  Contributing to high-profile projects like Mahercorp or NetComm, or assisting in the management of the financial affairs of notable individuals facing bankruptcy.

+  Collaborating with a dedicated team on-site to oversee trading administration, including managing trading activities, engaging with creditors and customers, and liaising with diverse stakeholders.

+  Conducting in-depth investigations, which may involve compiling evidence and crafting reports to support litigation.  You might also be involved in pursuing claims related to financial fraud, breach of duties, insolvent trading or other violations of legislation.

+  Engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders, including interested parties in business or asset sales, creditors, employees, debtors, lawyers, and financial institutions.

Who are we looking for

We seek accounting or commerce graduates eager to kick-start their careers and who possess the following qualities:

+ Efficiency and highly motivated

+ Strong attention to detail paired with a practical problem-solving approach.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering relationships with both external and internal stakeholders

+ Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia.

+ A commitment to being a valuable team player.

+ Previous experience in an accounting environment is highly desirable.

What's the most exciting part about where your career could take you?

The most exciting part of my career at Cor Cordis is the range of opportunities ahead. Working in insolvency has given me exposure to so many different skills and experiences, far more than I expected when I first joined. Coming in with limited industry knowledge, I was surprised by how interesting and enjoyable the work is. That variety has really motivated me and made me excited about taking on more complex and challenging engagements as my career progresses.

What skills have you developed that you never expected to need in this role?

The range of engagements at Cor Cordis has helped me develop skills that I, and many others, wouldn’t typically associate with accounting. One of the most unexpected and valuable areas of growth has been my interpersonal skills, particularly through interacting directly with creditors, employees, directors, and other businesses. These experiences have challenged me to communicate clearly, adapt my approach, and build confidence inprofessional conversations.

What aspects of the Cor Cordis' culture had the biggest impact on you?

From day one at Cor Cordis, the team was incredibly welcoming and supportive. I was actively included in tasks and meetings early on, which made me feel trusted and valued as part of the team. There’s also a strong emphasis on celebrating wins, both big and small, which really contributes to a positive culture. Regular staff events give everyone a chance to connect, reflect on achievements, and genuinely enjoy working together.

‍What advice would you give to our new or prospective graduates joining Cor Cordis?

Get stuck in and say yes to opportunities. Put your hand up to work on as many different matters as you can, because that exposure gives you invaluable experience early in your career. The more you get involved, the faster you learn and the better positioned you’ll be to succeed at Cor Cordis.

Graduate recruitment process

The key steps in our recruitment process include:

Online application

Submit your application and attach your resume/CV, a cover letter, and your academic transcript.

Phone interview

An initial conversation with a member of the People & Culture team. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to ask any questions.

First interview

Meet with a recent graduate and a manager for an informal conversation over coffee.

Complete a short case study, followed by a formal interview with a director and a partner.

Online assessment

Complete an Occupational Personality Profile to help us understand your working style and preferences. You can participate in a debrief session to discuss your results.

Offer of employment

If you successfully secure a position in the Cor Cordis Graduate Program, congratulations! We will then begin the onboarding process and induction program.
